WOFI

WOFI LEUCHTEN was founded in Sundern by the families Wortmann and Filz in 1959/1960. The registered trademark WOFI is based on the first two letters of each of the founder's surnames. In 1964 the company - and its existing 30 members of staff - moved from Sundern to Meschede-Freienhol into bigger premises.

In the oncoming years WOFI rose to many new challenges. Effecting expansion and investments, realising new light technologies and developing a high quality in design, forging the way ahead for the company. The build up of one of the most advanced technological distribution centers in the lighting sector with space for 14.000 pallets in 2000 as well as our own office in China since 2001 and the development of foreign markets since 2004 give WOFI the chance to increase beyond the German market.
